On completion of this unit you should be able to analyse and use information from written, spoken or visual texts to produce an extended writtten response in French..
You listen to and read information and combine this information in another form e.g. an evaluative blog
Key Skills
- Use strategies to identify concepts and information in relevant texts
- Evaluate, select and use information
- Link ideas and information from the stimulus material with general knowledge of the topic
- Use suitable written French for the purposes of the text type and audience
- Use appropriate grammar, spelling, layout and punctuation.
Overall – you must show use of resources – you spent a lot
of class time researching this topic, and you are expected to give evidence of
this.
General knowledge = cafes, boulangeries, berets, baguettes,
Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Louvre – these do not constitute research.
Connectives, avoir
expressions, ‘si’ clauses!!!! Negatives,
adjectives ! Non seulement…mais
220 – 250 words !
It would not seem advisable that the negatives outweigh the positives -
it doesn’t make sense, unless you can write something quite witty that turns
the tables on what people think about Paris.
